Good reputation from high quality ——Sidelights of water supply in advance for Linyi expansion project 2018-09-11

At 10:00 a.m. on August 28, the water supply for Linyi High-tech Zone Wastewater Plant Expansion Project was commissioned, and personnel of the Project Department were all filled with great joy! The node is two months ahead of the water supply time required by Linyi Municipal Government!

The successful implementation of this project will further help improve the sewage collection and treatment level in Linyi High-tech Zone, realize cyclic utilization of water resources and promote harmonious development of the city, meanwhile, it will also lay a solid foundation to deepen the cooperation between BEWG and the local government.

With the increase in urban area and quantity of urban wastewater in Linyi High-tech Industrial Development Zone by years and rapid growth of urban population, the only existing 30,000 tons sewage treatment plant in the High-tech Development Zone is overloaded and thus cannot meet the increasing treatment demand of sewage in the High-tech Industrial Development Zone. Therefore, Linyi High-tech Zone Wastewater Plant Expansion Project came into being.

At the beginning of the project, the Group made scientific planning and vowed to supply water in advance and build a high-quality project, with “transforming thinking and value orientation, technical expert and management expert function positioning and striving for high-quality project” as the major direction.

A series of problems were caused after commencement of the project in September, 2017: narrow construction site, complex geological conditions, environmental supervision, dust control and other irresistible factors, which result in a cumulative shutdown for nearly 3 months, tremendously impeding the normal advance of the project.

To complete water supply as early as possible and improve the sewage treatment capacity in the High-tech Zone, the Project Department faced the difficulties, reasonably divided the construction area, divided the construction site into four construction areas according to the local conditions, carried out scientific scheduling and properly arranged the construction sequence to race against time to chase after the construction schedule; actively coordinated the construction unit and increased the number of construction machinery and construction personnel. No matter what the weather is like, the Project Department ran about all day on the construction site to keep up with the construction schedule, finally completed 17 individual projects successfully and completed the project ahead of schedule!


The only topic of the Project Department is always how to improve the appearance quality on the basis of ensuring project quality? The Project Department worked and pulled together, opened a new path and decided to take efforts by starting with BIM technology and construction details.

The Project Department took the lead in applying the BIM technology and discovered 23 design deviations: for pipeline overlap defect of process drawings, it found out the overlap position and adjusted in advance; for deviation between the pipeline and the pre-embedded casing of single building structure diagram, it made changes and adjustments in a timely manner.

The Project Department strictly controlled the construction details and required the construction unit to tightly joint the templates, firmly reinforce and strictly control the elevation, after template removal, the joints are mostly invisible, the appearance quality is excellent, the construction period is shortened, and it is praised and promoted by the inspection team of the Group.

The excellence of the project has been widely recognized, and the title of “Advanced Unit of Municipal Engineering Management in Linyi National High-tech Zone of 2017” was awarded in July.
 

Green and low-carbon development is a concept always insisted by BEWG, and the Project Department always remembers to promote green construction and strictly implement the requirements of high standards for water conservation, energy conservation, land saving, material saving and environmental protection for national green technology demonstration project whiling striving for high-quality projects.

There  shall be at least 2 dust suppression devices for green technology demonstration project, and the Project Department shall realize double completion, which means that the department shall not only realize green construction but also efficiently cooperate with dust control of the local government; the utilization rate of green building materials for green technology demonstration project shall account for 70% of the total amount and the actual completion of the Project Department is 90%.

The green project has been well received by the owners and the public, which greatly enhances the engineering image of BEWG.
 

After the construction period and appearance quality are guaranteed, saving investment, shortening the construction period and improving the working efficiency are also the top priorities for the creation of high-quality projects.

The construction of thick and thin grids and other original designs is difficult and the construction period is long, to shorten the construction period and provide high-quality services to the owner, the workers of the Project Department adjusted measures to local conditions, optimized the construction plan day and night, and scientifically demonstrated and optimized each process link under the premise of ensuring safety.

Finally, the Project Department optimized the thick and thin grids piling scheme and changed the scheme for five times, thus ensuring the construction quality of thick and thin grids and shortening the construction period by 2 months; optimized the inlet pipeline scheme, not only meeting the requirements of the government for no interruption of water supply, but also ensuring water inflow of thick and thin grids of the first and second stages, and shortening the construction period by 1 month; optimized the construction scheme of the sewage pipeline in the plant, thus shortening the construction by 1 month.

The good news is that with joint efforts of all personnel of the Project Department, Linyi expansion project was completed on August 28, 2018 and water supply was commissioned successfully 2 months in advance. BEWG built a high-quality project again with its professional ability and professional ethics, laying a solid foundation for further deepening the cooperation with the local government.
