Vice President LI Haifeng met with Dr Xavier Jayakumar, Minister of Water, Land and Natural Resources 2018-10-25
On 1 Oct 2018, LI Haifeng, Executive Director and Vice President of BEWG, accompanied by Dato WANG Jianmin, BEWG Malaysia CEO; LUO Xuegeng, GM of Overseas Business Department; Mustakim, BEWG Malaysia Finance Director among others, visited Dr Xavier Jayakumar, the Minister of Water, Land and Natural Resources of Malaysia, and the two parties had a friendly meeting. Vice President LI Haifeng briefly introduced the basic situation of BEWG, in particular the Pantai 2 Sewage Treatment Plant completed excellently in the past few years, as well as the Dengjialou Water Supply Project and Yibao Sewage Treatment Plant under construction, and expressed strong willingness to further investment and cooperation with Malaysia.
Dr Xavier Jayakumar briefly introduced the status quo of water affairs in Malaysia and its investment and service needs, and sincerely expressed his welcome to Chinese investment, and expressed his high appreciation for the Pantai 2 Sewage Treatment Plant completed by BEWG, hoping that BEWG and other companies that have contributed to the water affairs and water environment protection in Malaysia should continue investment and service in Malaysia.
This visit is the first communication and cooperation meeting between BEWG officers and the Malaysian government after the May 9th election this year. It is of far-reaching significance for establishing high-level mutual trust and promoting the rapid development of the Group's business in Malaysia.
