The First Congress of the Communist Youth League BEWF is Successfully Held 2019-04-28
This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China and the 100th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement. The new era opens a new journey, and the new era calls for new deeds. On the afternoon of April 26, the first congress of the Communist Youth League BEWG was held in Beijing. Zhou Min, President of BEWG, Li Li, Executive President of BEWG, Jin Feng, Vice President of Beijing Enterprises Group Company Limited and Secretary of the Party Committee of BEWG, Yang Guang, Senior Vice President of BEWG, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of Committee for Discipline Inspection of BEWG, Zhang Xingqiang, Secretary of Youth League Committee of Beijing Enterprises Group Company Limited, et al. attended the congress. 40 member representatives of BEWG and representatives of related functional departments attended the congress. The congress was presided over by Jiao Jie, deputy secretary of the Youth League Committee of BEWG and executive chairman of the congress.
Li Ai delivered an opening speech at the opening session. He pointed out that the convening of the first Youth League Congress of the Group is of great significance to gathering youth power and promoting the spirit of struggle. It is hoped that the new Youth League Committee that will be born will play a greater role in resource integration and training of young talents, and lead the majority of members to be aggressive and to be the promoters and pathfinders of the Group’s innovative development.
Wang Jiale, Vice Chairman of the Labor Union of BEWG, delivered a speech on behalf of the Labor Union of the Group. She said that the Communist Youth League and the Labor Union, as the bridge and link between the Party and the masses, will support each other and cooperate closely towards the common vision and goals, and make greater contributions to the high-quality development of BEWG.
Zhao Zhen, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of BEWG, made a work report entitled “Don’t forget your original intentions and follow the party, have the courage to pursue your dreams and take responsibility——contribute youth power to promote high-quality development of BEWG”. The report highly summarized the work achievements of the Youth League of BEWG during the eight years since its establishment, seriously analyzed the situation and requirements of the development of the Youth League work the Group, and put forward the goals and main tasks of the Youth League work of the Group in the next five years, that is, “adhere to one theme, implement three services, and complete five tasks”, so as to strive hard to comprehensively promote the high-quality development of BEWG.
The report calls on the young people (as the new force of BEWG ) of the Group to take responsibility and mission as their own responsibility, start from a new point, keep in mind the new mission, and make contributions to promote the high-quality development of the Group with a persevering spirit and a brave attitude.
During the meeting, the representatives earnestly performed their duties and completed various agendas. At the congress, the new Communist Youth League BEWG Committee was elected, and the resolution of the Youth League Committee work report was passed through voting. The newly- elected member Li Xintong made a speech on behalf of the new Youth League Committee of the Group.
Zhang Xingqiang, on behalf of the Youth League Committee of Beijing Enterprises Group Company Limited, extended festive greetings to the youth members of BEWG. He pointed out that efforts should be made to strengthen the strict governance of the Youth League, persist in serving the overall situation of the enterprise, highlight the characteristics of BEWG, strengthen the education of ideals and beliefs and give full play to the role of young people. Moreover, it is important to continuously innovate the grassroots team building model, enhance the vitality of the grassroots, and strive to build a learning, service, and innovative advanced youth organization to let the young people realize their value in life and write a chapter of youth while contributing to the high-quality development of the enterprise.
Li Li, on behalf of the executive agency of the Group, put forward earnest hopes to the members of the Youth League. He said that the young people are the precious wealth of the Group, and outstanding youth are the hope of the Group and an important force for the Group to occupy the highland of water governance in the future. This year, the Group will focus on the construction of a dual organization of “learning, sports culture” to provide a broader stage and more development opportunities for the majority of young people, and strive to solve the “double blind” phenomenon in the development of the enterprise. It is hoped that the majority of the Youth League members will be brave to take responsibility, strengthen learning, innovate and create excellence, continue to strengthen their own software and hardware construction, give full play to their intelligence and creative endowment, and fully integrate personal development and enterprise development to grow into talents as soon as possible, stand out as soon as possible, and contribute to the good vision and strategic deployment of the Group.
Jin Feng put forward new requirements for the next step of work of the Group’s Youth League Committee. He said that it is necessary to create a new situation in the Communist Youth League and youth work of the Group with the spirit of reform and innovation, effectively maintain and strengthen the political, advancement, and mass nature of the Communist Youth League on the basis of in-depth learning and understanding of Xi Jinping’s thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, continue to uphold the great banner, integrate into the Group strategy, focus on quality, deepen reforms, and administer the Youth League strictly, and conscientiously perform the duties and missions of leading and uniting the youth, organizing and mobilizing the youth, and contacting and serving the youth. In addition, it is important to persist in inspiring the sense of historical responsibility and responsibility of the Youth League members with the BEWG Dream and the Chinese Dream, inspire the young people to continue their efforts, make achievements in the process of assisting the Group’s high-quality development and asset-light transformation in an all-round way, and create new achievements worthy of this new era.
Zhao Zhen said in the closing speech that we will sing the main melody of always following the Party, strengthen our ideals and beliefs, inherit the spirit of struggle, and work hard and focus on the central tasks of the enterprise under the unified leadership of the Party Committee of the Group according to the key work deployment of the executive agency of the Group, and contribute the wisdom and strength of the youth to promote the Group’s asset-light transformation and high-quality development with high spirits and excellent work achievements. The first Communist Youth League Congress of BEWG was successfully concluded with the sound of the “Song of the Chinese Communist Youth League ”.
Under the new situation that the Group further promotes the “dual platform” strategy, ecological strategy and comprehensive innovation strategy, BEWG has embarked on the journey of striving towards the next decade, and the strategic blueprint of building a world-class environmental protection enterprise is inspiring a new generation of young people to move forward with their dreams.
