Join Hands to Save and Protect Water - The 26th "World Water Day" Themed Publicity Campaign Held Successfully 2018-03-22

On March 22nd, the 26th “World Water Day” and the first day of the 31st “China Water Week”, the “Join Hands to Save and Protect Water” Themed Publicity Campaign sponsored by the Beijing Municipal Water Affairs Bureau, the League City Committee, the Chaoyang District Party Committee and the District Government, cosponsored by the BEWG and others were successfully held. A total of more than 200 people from 21 units attended the campaign, including leaders like Deputy Secretary-General of the Beijing Municipal Government Chen Bei, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Water Affairs Bureau Pan Anjun, Deputy Secretary of the Beijing Youth League Committee Li Jian, Deputy Director of the Chaoyang District Yang Jianhai, Deputy Director of the Municipal Water Affairs Bureau Ren Jie, Director of BEWG Lu Qi, etc.

With the theme of“Join Hands to Save and Protect Water”, this campaign is dedicated to promoting the concept of giving priority to green and ecological development, implementing the long-term river management system, and promoting river governance with the long-term river management system. At the launching ceremony, leaders of the Municipal Water Affairs Bureau introduced the work of water conservation and water protection in the city, and the leaders of Chaoyang District introduced the situation of water and river management in the area. After the song of water conservation and water conservation volunteers in Beijing was released, the city leaders awarded the flag to the “BEWG Water Conservation and Protection Volunteer Service Team”, which was established by the BEWG employees with the purpose to further promote the concept of giving priority to ecological and green development, starting from their own, taking the initiative to play the role of water conservation and water protection to contribute their own strength to the development of the water industry.

At this campaign, there were also various links like a visit to the Liangma Riverway treatment results, experience of the “River Chief Assumed by the Masses” project, putting water-clean chub to the Liangma River, and answering questions, etc. BEWG participated in various activities and set up a company propaganda stand in the Liangma River course area to set up publicity exhibition boards and distributed promotional leaflets for the company to "take advantage of nature to protect green mountains and green hills". During their visit to the exhibition area, the leaders praised the BEWG for its contribution to the construction of the economic civilization and the construction of ecological civilization, and highly praised its water projects in Beijing.

This campaign is rich in forms and far-reaching. It has enhanced the public's awareness of water conservation, water protection and love of water, and is highly praised by the participators and local people.
