BEWG maintains a long-term cooperative relationship with suppliers on the basis of mutual trust, and purchases materials and services on the principle of fairness and openness. The Group manages the whole process of supplier access, management and assessment by formulating clear rules and regulations, and actively organizes suppliers to carry out regular communication and training to support the growth of suppliers.
We continue to strengthen the management of existing suppliers. We evaluated and graded more than 60 general contractors, more than 70 supervisors, and more than 40 project managers in the civil engineering supplier base. We have experimented to expand the share of cooperation with excellent enterprises and gradually eliminate unqualified enterprises. The registration system was implemented for equipment suppliers and business cooperation units, and multi-dimensional dynamic evaluation was carried out. 267 excellent suppliers were selected to form a high-quality directory and classification standard of equipment suppliers of the Group, and the construction of key customer system was promoted. For design suppliers, select the national well-known class a design units and cooperation units with good completion degree, establish a list of qualified suppliers, and complete the release, invitation and online of 45 qualified suppliers for consultation and design.
In order to realize the ecological strategy, BEWG strives to achieve ecological cooperation with all sectors of the industrial chain, and jointly build an environmental protection water ecosystem based on benefit sharing and characterized by Pan centrality, symbiosis, mutualism and regeneration. As an important part of this ecosystem, suppliers are also of special concern to us. We attach great importance to communication and cooperation with suppliers. Through regular communication and technology sharing, we reduce information barriers, absorb innovation suggestions, and promote the common growth of the company and supplier partners as well as the coordinated development of the industry.
In 2019, we had 188 new domestic suppliers and 52 new overseas suppliers. As of the end of 2019, we had 786 domestic suppliers and 672 overseas suppliers. As of the end of 2019, we had 701 ISO 9001-certified suppliers, 468 ISO 14001-certified suppliers, and 465 ISO 9001 and ISO 14001-certified suppliers.

BEWG holds Supplier Technical Exchange Seminar
From May 8 to May 10, our purchasing management centre held its first training and supplier technology exchange seminar in Qingdao. More than 60 people took part, including purchasing directors from our construction and management centres, and representatives of the business departments of towns and villages, the five regions, Beijing BHZQ Environmental Engineering Technology Co., Ltd., and other units. Representatives of key equipment suppliers were invited to conduct special technical exchange training for managers and front-line employees. After the seminar, those representatives said that they had learned a lot about BEWG’s supply chain requirements and thanked the Group for protecting suppliers’ rights and interests. They also expressed a desire to align with BEWG’s management philosophy and strategic direction, to provide better services and products on a long-term basis.
Suppliers and service providers play an important role in supporting our products and services. We highly value the management of suppliers, and have formulated strict supplier admittance standards.
