Group Chairman LI Yongcheng, CEO ZHOU Min met with Pakistani Prime Minister 2018-11-07
On 5 Nov 2018, LI Yongcheng, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BEWG; and ZHOU Min, CEO; accompanied by LUO Xuegeng, GM of Overseas Business Department among others, had a warm and friendly meeting with visiting Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Planning Development, Minister of Finance and other officials.
LI Yongcheng briefly introduced the basic situation of Beijing Enterprises Water Group, focusing on the progress of the Group’s projects in Pakistan in the past few years, and provided the experience and suggestions of BEWG on the development of Pakistan’s water industry. At the same time, he also expressed BEWG has a strong willingness to cooperate on projects in Pakistan.
Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan briefly introduced Pakistan’s water service needs and expressed his high interest in the technology and business model of BEWG, and he was inviting BEWG to cooperate and provide services in Pakistan in the fields of urban water supply, sewage treatment & recycling, and desalination.
This visit is the first communication and cooperation meeting between BEWG officers and Pakistani government after the July 25 election of Pakistan. It is of far-reaching significance for the establishment of mutual trust between the top executives of the two parties and the rapid development of the Group's business in Pakistan.
