The Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Visits BEWG to Carry Out In-depth Cooperation in the Field of Water Affairs 2019-02-23
From February 19 to 23, at the invitation of Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi, Aidarbekov, the Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan paid an official visit to China, which is the first official visit of Foreign Minister Idarbekov to China.
On the afternoon of February 21, Aidarbekov and his party visited the Beijing headquarters of BEWG, Tian Zhenqing, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of BEWG, Li Yongcheng, Vice Chairman, Executive Deputy General Manager, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of BEWG, Zhou Min, Executive Director and President of BEWG and other leaders accompanied the visit, and held cordial and friendly talks.
Aidarbekov said that he was very pleased to meet the representatives of Chinese enterprises, and President Sooronbay Jeenbekov is very concerned about water resources issue. We are very interested in the cooperation in the field of water affairs, and believe that there are broad prospects for development in terms of cooperation with your company in the field of water affairs. Within the framework of the “Belt and Road initiative”, Kyrgyzstan hopes that BEWG can participate in various aspects to carry out in-depth cooperation.

Whereafter, Abakipov, Deputy Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan, Xiong Bin, Director of the Investment Project Promotion Office of the Investment Promotion and Protection Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Assistant to the General Manager of BEWG, and Luo Xuegeng, General Manager of Overseas Business Department of BEWG, had an in-depth exchange that focuses on water and environmental projects, memorandum of cooperation, visits to Kyrgyzstan, etc. of mutual concern.
During the exchange, Abakipov said that Kyrgyzstan hopes that the tourism industry can develop into a major pillar industry of the country in the future. Xiong Bin expressed his willingness to use the existing advantageous resources of BEWG to work closely with Kyrgyzstan to achieve a win-win situation.
