BEWG's 10th Anniversary Appreciation Meeting in Hong Kong 2018-12-20
On 11 Dec 2018, the 10th Anniversary Appreciation Party of BEWG was successfully held on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. More than 200 persons including government representatives, financial representatives, partners, leaders of Beijing Enterprises Group, executive agencies of BEWG, representatives of management teams and representatives of 10-year employees gathered together to witness the milestone moments in the development history of BEWG. TIAN Zhenqing, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of BEG; LI Yongcheng, Deputy Chairman and Executive Deputy GM of BEG, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BEWG; ZHANG Honghai, Honorary Chairman of BEWG; JIANG Xinhao, Deputy GM of BEG; E Meng, Deputy GM and Chief Financial Officer of BEG; HU Xiaoyong, Honorary Chairman of BEWG; ZHOU Min, Executive Director and CEO of BEWG, and LI Li, Executive Director and CEO of BEWG, attended the appreciation meeting.
At the appreciation meeting, Mr. LI Yongcheng, Vice Chairman and Executive Deputy GM of BEG, and Chairman of of BEWG, gave a speech first. In his speech, LI Yongcheng affirmed the outstanding achievements and contributions made by BEWG in practicing the "two mountains theory" and serving the construction of ecological civilization in the past ten years after its reorganization and listing. He pointed out that in the past ten years, BEWG has adhered to the original intention of environmental protection, focusing on water resources recycling and water ecological environmental protection. Relying on the Hong Kong capital market, we have overcome difficulties, have the courage to develop, and have established a business layout of "two main businesses and multiple specialties". All our undertakings go hand in hand, business performance continues to improve, operating income and profits have repeatedly hit record highs, while we have abundant human resources, scientific and technological strength and mature experience, gradually forming 4core driving forces: "investment + technology + talent + data". On behalf of the Board of Directors of BEWG, he thanked the investors, ecological partners, brother companies and all colleagues of the Group who have always supported and loved BEWG.
He emphasized that looking forward to the future, BEWG needs to lead the industry trend, integrate industrial strengths, and serve the national strategy. It needs to explore a road to further growth that is suitable for the sustainable development of BEWG and is highly recognized by the market. The Group will vigorously implement the "dual platform" development strategy, focus on building a leading professional asset management platform and an excellent multi-service operation management platform, strive to transform into an ecological enterprise, establish an open, integrated, and cross-industry industry pattern, and jointly create A pan-centralized community of shared future with strong vitality, combat effectiveness, and cohesion.

Afterwards, the market opening ceremony was held on the hour. Mr. TIAN Zhenqing and Mr. LI Yongcheng jointly sounded the gong for the 10th anniversary of the listing of BEWG. Mr. ZHOU Andayuan, Ms. JIN Ping, Mr. ZHANG Huafeng, Mr. ZHANG Xialing, Mr. LIN Xianjin and Mr. ZHANG Honghai witnessed this exciting moment. Ms. CHEN Xinyu, head of corporate event planning and management of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and Mr. ZHOU Min, president of BEWG, respectively presented gifts to each other on behalf of both parties.
At the thank-you meeting, a promotional video for the 10-year development history of BEWG was played. The 10-year hard work and 10-year development were all concentrated in a group of shots. Familiar or unfamiliar faces, new breakthroughs time after time, let us review the step-by-step history of BEWG in the past ten years.
Mr. ZHANG Gaobo, Independent Director of BEWG, said in his speech that in the past ten years, BEWG has grown from silence to one of the most influential water companies in China. The three factors are inseparable from our success: 1) the environmental protection industry attribute of water control is a sunrise industry now and in the future; 2) BEWG has the compound genes of state-owned enterprises and private enterprises; 3) BEWG has a pioneering, professional and dedicated management team. By this opportunity, he also expressed his respect and gratitude to this team.
Mr. TIAN Zhenqing, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of BEG, said in his speech that "10-year" are very important in the long history of corporate development. For BEWG, that ten years have laid a key foundation for the Group to grow from big to strong, and become a leader in the water industry.TIAN Zhenqing would like to take this opportunity to firstly thank all the staff of BEWG for their continuous efforts to build BEWG into a world-class enterprise; secondly thank the founders of BEWG for their brilliant decisions to the outstanding development of BEWG; finally thank all the customers of BEWG. It is the continuous support of customers that has made BEWG's 10-year development.
TIAN Zhenqing also expressed his firm support for the future development of BEWG. He said that the current development mechanism of BEWG has verified that our exploration of mixed ownership is correct. BEWG will continue to support the development of BEWG. It is hoped that BEWG will continue to grow bigger and stronger in line with the national development strategy, continue to reform and innovate, deepen technological innovation, and continue to move towards the goal of a century-old enterprise.
After the speech, the guests held a thank-you toast ceremony and took a group photo. After the thank-you meeting, BEWG executives and BEWG's ecological partners held an ecological partners seminar in Hong Kong, focusing on the top-level design of ecological cooperation, the ecological cooperation principles including resource sharing, business cooperation, and cooperative intellectual property sharing, and the development direction of the environmental protection industry. The seminar was presided over by HUANG Wenlong, GM of the Strategic Development Center of BEWG.
The seminar suggested to start with the improvement of the mechanism, build an ecological responsibility system, improve the efficiency of division of labor and cooperation, further clarify the responsibilities, synergize the local interests and the overall interests of the Group, build a destiny that breaks boundaries, reshapes integration, and innovates interconnection community.
LI Li, CEO of BEWG, pointed out that the cooperation between BEWG and its ecological partners has established an ecological energy field within a certain range, which maximizes the advantages of each ecological partner, and it’s hoped that through future cooperation, an ecological partnership system of symbiosis, mutual growth and regeneration will be established.
ZHOU Min, president of BEWG, said in his concluding speech that we will establish a broader ecological cooperation circle, introduce larger and diversified partners, and gradually transform to asset light.
