BEWG and Chengde government signed Chengde Water Infrastructure Cooperation Framework Agreement 2019-08-29
On 29 Aug 2019, a good news comes from the 17th China (Chengde) International Economic and Trade Fair: Chengde Municipal People’s Government and BEWG signed the Chengde Water Infrastructure Cooperation Framework Agreement, under which the parties will carry out comprehensive cooperation in the field of water environment governance and others.
Under the witness of Chengde City Party Committee Secretary Mr. ZHOU Zhongming, Mayor Ms. CHANG Lihong and other leaders, Mr. SU Tiecheng, Member of the Standing Committee of Chengde City Party Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Committee, and Ms. WANG Zhupin, Vice President of BEWG, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.
Chengde City, Hebei Province, as an important nodal city in the national Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei concerted development strategy and the northwestern Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei ecological support zone, has many advantages such as excellent ecology, rich culture, unique geography, and rich natural resources. It is positioned as a "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei "Water Conservation Functional Zone" and "National Green Development Pioneer Zone".
Today, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei concerted development in Chengde City has entered a new stage of in-depth progress. BEWG will take this opportunity to combine the strategy of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei integrated regional development and the goal of industrial restructuring, and actively practise the strategic idea of sustainable development and the concept of "Beautiful China", start from governmental claim, set foots in people’s living needs, promote the spirits of desert changers in Saihanba, give full play to its own professional and service advantages, scientifically and rationally design and plan the implementation and management of water affairs and water environment projects, improve the output and supply efficiency of urban water infrastructure and public services, and promote the integrated operation and management of Chengd city’s "factory, network, and river" water affairs, in order to create a better livable environment for Chengde, fully assist Chengde to build a strong ecological city in the new era, and create a new charm of Chengde.
