Yang Yuehui, Deputy General Manager of Guangdong Business Area in BEWG Southern Region and General Manager of Dongguan Region, and Zhai Chiqiang, General Manager of Water Purification Company, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.

The signing represents that the operation capability of BEWG has been recognized by the Dongguan Municipal Government and Dongguan Water Group. It is not only another harvest of BEWG in the Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, but also a key achievement in the BEWG Southern Region through active implementation of the Group's asset-light strategy.

The total scale of entrusted operation services signed this time is 500,000 tons/day, including 20,000 tons/day of Dongguan Shilong Sewage Treatment Plant, 30,000 tons/day of Zhongtang Phase I Sewage Treatment Plant, 40,000 tons/day of Shatian Sewage Treatment Plant, 50,000 tons/day of Gaobo Sewage Treatment Plant, 60,000 tons/day of Changping West Sewage Treatment Plant, 80,000 tons/day of Dalingshan Sewage Treatment Plant, 100,000 tons/day of Houjie Phase I Sewage Treatment Plant and 20,000 tons/day of Hengli-Dongkeng Sewage Treatment Plant. Since entering the Dongguan market in 2012, keeping its original intention with ingenuity and abiding by the service commitment of "reassuring the government and satisfying the citizens", BEWG has won unanimous praise from the government and citizens. Under the guidance of the Group's "dual platform" strategy, the BEWG Southern Region took the lead in building Dongguan Dalingshan Water Plant into a water plant with few (no) staff on duty. Through the sewage plant-wide intelligent management and control, the centralized monitoring of the regional center, the intelligent management of mobile patrol inspection, and the information management of the operation and maintenance platform, operation with an automatic control system has been realized instead of manual operation for the water plant, with the key processes such as aeration, lifting, dosing, etc. under intelligent control, and operation, equipment, facilities, inspection, maintenance and other processes interconnected, breaking the information island; through the establishment of the "1+N" smart water management model, the smart water plant operation of "Internet of Things platform, big data analysis, intelligent management and control, man-machine collaboration, and mobile office" has been realized.

As of 2020, the "1+N" smart water management model has helped build 1 provincial regional operation command and dispatching center and 5 regional production management centralized control centers in Guangdong Province and complete the intelligent transformation of 30 water plants. With the support of Smart Water, the operation efficiency and safe operation guarantee of BEWG's project in Guangdong has been greatly improved. The 8 upgrading projects signed this time will also be successively connected to the "1+N" smart water management model of BEWG.

In recent years, the BEWG Southern Region has actively implemented the Group’s asset-light strategy, and following the customer-oriented principle, continuously provided customers with high-quality products and services. It has successively promoted the implementation of asset-light projects in the core cities in the Greater Bay Area, such as Guangzhou, Dongguan, Foshan, Jiangmen, Qingyuan, Jieyang and so on. In the future, BEWG will, as always, give full play to its core operation capabilities, explore various cooperation models with local water groups, actively participate in national and local development strategies, and assist in the coordinated protection and governance of the ecological environment in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to build a safe and clean water environment, jointly drawing a grand blueprint for the Greater Bay Area suitable for living, working and traveling in the "14th Five-Year Plan”!
