BEWG successfully held the 4th Evergreen Cup Staff Skills Competition 2023-11-07

From October 23 to 24, the fourth "Evergreen Cup" employee skills competition of BEWG was held in Nanyang, Henan Province. The competition was hosted by BEWG Trade Union, organized by the Operation Service Center and the Eastern Region, and co-organized by Nanyang Regional Company. Chen Liang, Deputy Secretary General of Nanyang Municipal People's Government; Zhao Hao, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of the Trade Union of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions; Li Zhe, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Urban Management Bureau; Wang Lichen, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Chief Engineer of the Housing and Urban Rural Development Bureau; Yu Jie, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Trade Union of Beijing Holdings Co., Ltd.; Chen Gang, Vice Chairman of the Trade Union; Yu Liguo, rotating CEO of BEWG; Vice Presidents Liu Weiyan and Yu Liangfa; Zhao Zhen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Trade Union; Du Hao, Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection; Cao Jing, Director of Water Supply department, as well as the team members, judges and guests from the four major districts and village business departments participated in the event.
 
This "Evergreen Cup" is a specific action to thoroughly implement the spirit of the Twentieth National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the guiding spirit of General Secretary on the construction of skilled talent team and vocational skills competition. It is the largest scale and most types of work field practice competition for front-line employees of BEWG.
 
This competition shows three characteristics:
 
First, there are many participants and wide coverage. Units at all levels of the Group actively cooperated with the response, fully mobilized grassroots forces, and combined the contest with internal selection and training to select elite staff. Among them, the village and town division sent players to participate in the "Evergreen Cup" contest for the first time;
 
Second, the competition content is innovative and practical. According to the needs of the Group's operation and management upgrading, the competition set up three competition items, namely, leak detection of water supply pipe network, sewage operation test, and mechanical maintenance. Among them, the sewage operation test contest broke the original skill contest content and upgraded to a multi skill contest. For the first time, it combined process regulation and test to help the group improve its quality control management ability under intensive conditions. At the same time, the contest applied the first Chinese language parameter self calibration process simulation software BETink independently developed by BEWG, to better test the level of cooperation among various types of work in the operation of water plants, and also provide new ideas for future competitions;
 
The third is to deepen the brand and enhance its influence. After the precipitation and sublimation of the first three "Evergreen Cup" competitions, the organization of the competitions has been standardized, and unique competition logos and slogans have been formed. For the first time, this year's competition attracted external units as sponsors, providing some material support for the competition, highlighting the continuous improvement of the brand influence of the "Evergreen Cup" event.
 
At the launching ceremony of the competition, Yu Jie pointed out that the "Evergreen Cup" employee skill competition closely focuses on the goals and tasks of enterprise development, and the project setting pays attention to practical results, closely follows the difficult points in operation practice, and provides an effective platform for skilled talents to display their skills, exchange and learn, which is of great significance for cultivating more "BEWG craftsmen", forging the "BEWG craftsman spirit" and boosting the high-quality development of BEWG.
 
Chen Liang, Secretary-General of Nanyang Municipal Government, said that under the dual impetus of external environmental challenges and internal development needs, skilled talents have ushered in a promising new era. More than ever before, our country, cities and enterprises need to cultivate a team of high-quality technicians. It is hoped that BEWG will take this employee skills competition as an opportunity to make talents truly talented, to make talented people truly brilliant, to make brilliant people pragmatic and innovative, and then to push the domestic water environment industry to a new level.
 
During the two days of wonderful competition, a total of 46 players advanced to the finals. They worked hard on the field and competed with each other. While showing their extraordinary skills, they also interpreted the "artisan spirit" with practical practice. In the end, the eastern region won the championship of mechanical maintenance and water supply network leak detection competition, and the northern region won the championship of sewage operation test competition.
 
At the award ceremony, Yu Liguo said that in the future, we can further broaden the scope of the competition, open up other lines and types of tracks, invite other brother units to participate, and exchange and improve together, so as to promote learning, practice, use and integration through competition. He pointed out that the improvement of the overall ability of front-line employees has always been the focus of BEWG Talent Strategy. The Group will constantly adjust and improve relevant mechanisms to promote front-line employees to upgrade their skills, enhance the soft power of the Group, and help the Group develop with high quality.
 
At present, the demand for economic restructuring and industrial upgrading in China is growing, and the demand for senior technicians is also growing. BEWG will take the 4th "Evergreen Cup" Staff Skills Competition as the starting point, continue to innovate the competition system, open up new tracks, stimulate new kinetic energy, provide opportunities for more types of employees to learn skills and show their elegance, and strive to cultivate more skilled craftsmen, so that the spirit of artisans can plant fertile soil for enterprises and the charm of artisans can flow meaningfully in BEWG.
