On October 25th, the signing and unveiling ceremony of Shenyang architecture university-BEWG Modern Industry College was held in Shenyang, Liaoning Province. This is the 10th industrial college established by BEWG, and it is also a new starting point for BEWG to help fully revitalize Northeast China in the new era, boost innovation-driven development in Liaoning Province, and serve the green and high-quality development of Beijing and Shenyang.
Li Weiguang, Chairman of the Teaching Guidance Sub-committee of Water Supply and Drainage Science and Engineering in Colleges of the Ministry of Education; Yu Liguo, rotating executive president of BEWG; Wang Li, general manager of operation service center; Ji Guangpeng, general manager of BEWG Education; leaders of related enterprises such as Eastern Region, Northern Region and Beikong City Platoon; President Yan Wenfu of Shenyang architecture university; Vice President Li Yupeng; and representatives of academic affairs office, student affairs office, enrollment and employment office and other relevant departments attended the inauguration ceremony.
In his speech, Yan Wenfu introduced the school's history, and said that the cooperation between Shenyang architecture university and BEWG is at a critical period for the school to build a high-level research and application-oriented university and continuously promote the supply-side structural reform of personnel training. The two sides jointly built a modern industrial college to give full play to the advantages of running a school and enterprise resources. This year, Shenyang architecture university-BEWG Modern Industry College was successfully approved by Liaoning Provincial Modern Industry College. It is believed that the successful signing ceremony of strategic cooperation will promote the further and broader development of school-enterprise collaborative education. Both sides will persist in focusing on talent training, deepen the reform of education and teaching, seek truth from facts and forge ahead, and strive to create an important cradle for cultivating innovative talents in the future municipal environmental protection field.
In his speech, Yu Liguo pointed out that as a flagship enterprise in the eco-environmental protection industry, in the process of its own development, BEWG do not forget initiative mind, bravely undertook the mission, and achieved fruitful results through ten years of deep cultivation and layout in the field of integration of production and education. BEWG attaches great importance to this cooperation, and expects both schools and enterprises to build a new development pattern based on the concept of "resource sharing, complementary advantages, win-win cooperation and coordinated development", and to focus on key tasks such as cultivating compound innovative talents, joint research and development, and transformation of achievements, while innovating cooperation methods, expanding cooperation areas, and creating cooperation characteristics, so as to serve the high-quality development of Northeast China and realize sustainable revitalization with greater responsibility and actions.
Li Weiguang said that the water supply and drainage science and engineering specialty of Shenyang Architecture University has a long history, profound professional accumulation, distinctive disciplinary characteristics and remarkable teaching achievements. Shenyang Architecture University and BEWG should work together to build a modern industrial college according to the situation. It is a practical action to implement the new development concept, accelerate the deep integration of industry, education and research, and a new starting point for both schools and enterprises to build a new pattern of integration of industry and education. Through the establishment of new information, talent, technology and other resource sharing mechanisms, the effective connection of the industrial chain, innovation chain and education chain will certainly promote the rapid development of water supply and drainage science and engineering specialty of Shenyang Architecture University.
Under the witness of the leaders attending the meeting, the school and enterprise formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly build a modern industrial college, and unveiled the "Shenyang architecture university-BEWG Modern Industrial College" and its "Research and Development Center for Trenchless Pipeline Repair Technology".
Yan Wenfu issued letters of appointment to members of the board of directors and management of Modern Institute of Technology. Yu Liguo is the chairman and dean of the Institute of Technology, Ma Yuntong is the vice chairman, Ji Guangpeng is the director and vice president of the Institute of Technology, Zhang Yilan is the director and Li Dawei is the vice president of the Institute of Technology.
Li Yupeng issued the letter of appointment for the industry tutor. The team of industrial tutors, composed of 8 high-level talents from BEWG, will give full support to Modern Institute of Technology in specialty construction, technology research and development, and joint training of graduate students.
After the ceremony, the Institute of Modern Technology held the first president's office (expansion) meeting. At the meeting, all members collectively deliberated and passed the Articles of Association of Shenyang architecture university-BEWG Modern Industry College. Subsequently, Li Jun gave a report on the development plan of Modern Industrial College, and the participants exchanged and discussed the key work planned and put forward valuable suggestions to help promote the innovative and sustainable development of Modern Industrial College.
At the same time, the conference held an activity for enterprise experts to enter the campus. As a representative of industry tutor, Wang Li, general manager of BEWG Operation Service Center, gave a special lecture on "Smart Exploration of Water Operation under the Background of Digital China" for students of Shenyang architecture university Municipal and Environmental Engineering College. He systematically introduced the policy background of digital China, the development trend of industry intelligence and the exploration of Beijing Water Intelligent Operation, and put forward ten development trends of water operation in the future. He hoped that the students would learn something, apply what they have learned, and jointly promote the standardization, intensification and intelligent development of the water industry to open a new future for smart water.
Higher education is an important combination of talents as the first resource, science and technology as the first productivity and innovation as the first motive force. In recent years, BEWG has established a (modern) industrial college to jointly cultivate compound innovative talents who can meet future challenges with domestic and foreign universities, thus injecting impetus into the transformation and upgrading of the environmental protection industry.
Taking the establishment of Shenyang architecture university-BEWG Modern Industry College as an opportunity, BEWG will actively respond to the relevant requirements of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government in implementing the "Tenth Five-Year Plan", take reform and innovation as the fundamental driving force, take green and low-carbon development as the guide, build a platform for cooperative development of educational resources, and jointly carry out personnel training, industry training, subject research, innovation and entrepreneurship, and actively promote the green development of industries to help transform scientific and technological achievements. On the basis of the current provincial modern industrial college, BEWG will make solid progress towards the construction goal of the national modern industrial college.
