16th Year! BEWG Retains Top Position of Top 10 Most Influential Water Enterprises 2026-03-27
On March 26-27, the "2026 (24th) Water Industry Strategic Forum" hosted by E20 Environmental Platform was held in Beijing. With the theme of "Advancement", the forum jointly explored the path of high-quality development in the water industry. The "2025 Top 10 Most Influential Water Enterprises" list was unveiled at the forum, and BEWG once again topped the list with its outstanding comprehensive strength and continuous technological innovation leadership, winning this honor for the 16th consecutive year.
Standing at the critical intersection of the conclusion of the 14th Five-Year Plan and the blueprint of the 15th Five-Year Plan, China's water industry is undergoing a structural development transformation. The core logic of the industry has shifted comprehensively from the previous scale expansion relying on "heavy asset stacking" to value deepening driven by "smart asset empowerment". Facing profound industry changes, BEWG has taken practical action to lead the new direction of industry transformation.
Ma Yuntong, Senior Vice President of BEWG Group, delivered a keynote speech titled "Steady Progress and Far-reaching Vision — BEWG's Practice of High-Quality Development and Technological Innovation Path". She pointed out that the water industry has entered the deep zone of existing assets, where the traditional "heavy asset scale expansion" model is no longer sustainable. AI + digital intelligence, pricing mechanism reform, and investment and financing quality improvement have become the three systemic transformation directions for the water sector in the national 15th Five-Year Plan strategy. Based on this industry background, BEWG is firmly committed to the path of technology-enterprise transformation, striving to achieve the transition from scale expansion to value creation under high-quality development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, and to build a "New BEWG" under technology leadership.
Ma Yuntong stated that BEWG has built "New Services" based on large-scale existing assets, creating the "Cloud-Chain-Terminal" operational paradigm, completing three leaps from star-rated operation and intensive management to AI-powered intelligence. Among these, star-rated operation management innovation drives the improvement of operational fundamentals, and the intensive operational model under the Cloud-Chain-Terminal paradigm achieves "improved personnel efficiency, faster response, and more controllable management", continuously releasing productivity. In 2025, BEWG launched the industry vertical large model "ENKI", achieving autonomous process control and iteration, and was deployed on a pilot basis in the Zaozhuang area of Shandong and the Guangfo area of Guangdong, achieving certain results.
Looking ahead, BEWG will develop "Yunlian Network" — a digital intelligence and industrial internet platform for the industry. BEWG is anchored to new services, new hotspots, and new industries in the water sector, driving "new development" for the enterprise and the industry through three pathways: endogenous innovation, outward extension innovation, and open innovation. Ma Yuntong emphasized that BEWG firmly believes that heavy-asset existing stock is the best testing ground and efficient incubation soil for technological innovation, and that openness is the necessary path for high-quality development. BEWG is willing to work with the industry to continuously explore the boundaries of water innovation and co-create a new future of high-quality industry development.
During the forum, the "2025 (23rd) Water Industry Enterprise Competitiveness Selection" results and awards were also announced. Hangzhou Beishui Future Technology Co., Ltd. under BEWG won the "2025 Leading Enterprise in Municipal Environment Field of Water Industry"; Hangzhou Beishui Cloud Service Technology Co., Ltd. won the "2025 Leading Enterprise in Water Supply and Drainage Equipment Field"; and Beishui Pipeline (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. won the "2025 Leading Enterprise in Municipal Drainage Pipeline Service".
From topping the Top 10 Most Influential Water Enterprises list for 16 consecutive years to reconstructing the industry's operational paradigm with digital intelligence, BEWG relies on the practice of "technology empowering existing assets, openness co-creating the future" to inject core momentum into the structural transformation of China's water industry. Standing at the new starting point of the 15th Five-Year Plan strategy, BEWG advances forward, exploring new paths of high-quality development, and contributing replicable practical models for the sustainable development of the water industry.
