BEWG Debuts Innovative Products at CIFTIS and Shares Achievements in Digital Centralized Procurement 2026-09-11
On September 9, the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) opened at the Shougang Park in Beijing. Presenting as an integrated entity, Beijing Enterprises Group showcased its fruitful achievements in advancing urban modernization around the theme of Serving Urban Development, Creating a Better Life.
In the field of environmental services, Beijing Enterprises Water Group (BEWG) systematically displayed its scientific and technological innovations. Based on the new digital and intelligent operation paradigm of "Cloud-Chain-Edge", it highlighted a complete process AI system featuring standardized procedures, small models, industry-specific large models and cloud-edge collaboration, delivering the "BEWG Solution" for high-quality development of the water sector in an all-round manner.
Showcase of Flagship Overseas Projects
"Going Global" stood out as a core theme of this year’s CIFTIS. BEWG exhibited its overseas projects on-site, including the Changi NEWater Plant in Singapore, Pandan Wastewater Treatment Plant in Malaysia, Astana Second Wastewater Treatment Plant in Kazakhstan, Nairobi River Basin Ecological Restoration Wastewater Treatment Plant in Kenya, and the integrated wastewater plant at POP Site in Serbia.
Actively implementing the national opening-up strategy, BEWG has steadily pushed forward its global expansion. Its overseas business footprint covers Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Portugal, Angola, Botswana, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Namibia and other countries, serving a population of over 10 million.
Debut of Hive Innovative Product
BEWG’s Hive is a highly intensive modular water treatment system. Breaking the constraints of conventional layout, it allows flexible configuration according to site conditions, with the number of units adjustable to match treatment capacity. Boasting excellent process compatibility, the Hive structure can accommodate traditional processes as well as advanced technologies such as AOA and MBBR in flexible combinations.
This innovative product represents the future trend of prefabricated and flexible water plant construction, delivering efficient, eco-friendly all-scenario solutions to meet complex water management demands.
Special Session on Digital Centralized Procurement
At the exhibition, Kunpeng Smart Procurement under BEWG delivered a special presentation themed Digital Joint Centralized Procurement: Reshaping the New Ecosystem of the Water Sector Supply Chain.
Led by Kunpeng Smart Procurement, a supply chain collaboration alliance for the water industry has been established together with participating procurement entities. Integrating green and low-carbon concepts into the whole life cycle of supply chains, the platform has developed a water-industry-specific green supply chain evaluation system, unified supplier standards and realized mutual recognition of qualifications, fostering a sustainable green procurement ecosystem.
The platform brings together more than 20 leading enterprises including BEWG and Capital Environment Holdings, with over 600 procurement legal persons conducting cross-entity joint centralized procurement. It covers full categories of water industry supplies such as chemicals, instruments, pumps & valves, and MRO materials. The scale of joint centralized procurement has exceeded RMB 4 billion, achieving stable cost reduction of 5%–15% and leveraging the bargaining power of bulk procurement.
