Deepening Cooperation and Exchange, Jointly Building a Green Future: Uruguay's Broad Front Cadre Delegation Visits Yinchuan's First Reclaimed Water Plant 2025-06-06

On June 2, a cadre delegation from Uruguay’s Broad Front (Frente Amplio), accompanied by the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, visited Yinchuan’s First Reclaimed Water Plant and its Ecological Water Conservation Theme Park. The delegation conducted an on-site investigation into urban wastewater treatment, reclaimed water utilization, and smart water management systems, gaining in-depth insights into the plant’s exemplary practices in green and low-carbon development.

The delegation toured the government-enterprise collaborative exhibition hall, environmental education center, central control room, effluent display room, and the ecological water conservation theme park. In the exhibition hall, they learned about the collaborative background and construction journey between Yinchuan City and BEWG in urban water environment management. In the central control room, they received detailed explanations about the architecture and operation of the smart water platform, energy consumption control, and automated dispatch systems. In the effluent display room and ecological park, the delegation witnessed firsthand the integrated model of "underground wastewater treatment and above-ground ecological landscaping," as well as the extensive application of reclaimed water in urban greening, fountain supply, and other scenarios, demonstrating Yinchuan’s advanced concepts and engineering practices in building a water-efficient city.

During the visit, Fernando Pereira, President of Uruguay’s Broad Front, highly praised BEWG’s innovative achievements in reclaimed water utilization and smart water management. He expressed that the visit broadened their horizons and provided valuable insights for Uruguay’s urban water resource management, showing keen interest in further deepening green technology exchanges and practical cooperation.

From wastewater resource recycling to the construction of ecological water conservation parks, from the deployment of smart water platforms to the development of a diversified reclaimed water utilization system, BEWG continues to deepen its efforts in water environment improvement.
