The Inaugural Meeting of China Eco-Environmental Industry-Education Alliance & the 1st Environmental Education Summit Forum held in Qinhuangdao 2018-11-08
On 7 Nov 2018, BEWG, Hebei University of Environmental Engineering (HUEE) led other entities to jointly hold the Inaugural Meeting of China Eco-Environmental Industry-Education Alliance & the 1st Environmental Education Summit Forum (“Industry-Education Alliance”) in Qinhuangdao. HUANG Binhui, Deputy Secretary-General of China Association of Environmental Protection Industry; ZHU Zhiguo, Director of Higher Education Division, Hebei Provincial Department of Education; GAO Weidong, Deputy Secretary-General of Qinhuangdao Municipal People's Government; YU Liguo, Senior Vice President of BEWG and Dean of BEWG College; ZHU Lijie, Party Secretary of HUEE; among other leaders, and the Alliance contacts from 38 domestic research institutions, 41 environmental protection companies, and teachers and students from HUEE, attended the inaugural meeting and forum.
The present leaders hotly celebrated the establishment of this Alliance, and gave high recognition to the importance and profound influence of such creation, pointing out that such establishment is conducive to the creation and improvement of environmental industry and higher education comprehensive capabilities, conducive to the erection of industry-university-enterprise communication and sharing platform, to satisfy the demands of environmental industry for high quality environmental talents, and of great strategic and realistic significance to the promotion of environmental industry development. The present leaders jointly lit up the kick-off ball for the establishment of the Alliance, and awarded plaques to member entities of the Alliance.
At the 1st Environmental Education Summit Forum, YU Liguo, Chairman of the Alliance, Senior Vice President of BERWG, and Dean of BEWG College, reported on the "BEWG Strategic Blueprint and Industry-Education Alliance Action Plan"; ZHANG Jianmin, Chairman of the Alliance, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of HUEE, reported on "HUEE Development Prospects"; MA Defu, Vice Chairman of the National College Innovation and Venture Capital Service Alliance, Member of MOE "Internet +" Competition Experts Committee, made a keynote report on "Internet +" Key Success Factors for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. At the next salon seminar of the Alliance, the present members fully discussed the implementation of the Alliance's action plan, the demand for environmental industry talents, and the talent training system of universities, and reached a broad consensus.
During the meeting, representatives of the Alliance visited BEWG‘s Qinhuangdao Haigang District Western Wastewater Treatment Plant and HUEE.
The inaugural meeting of the Alliance elected ZHOU Min, the President of BEWG, as the Honorary Chairman of the Alliance, and elected YU Liguo, the Senior VP of BEWG and the President of BEWG College; and ZHANG Jianmin, the Deputy Secretary and President of HUEE, as the Chairpersons of the Alliance; elected NAN Jun, Vice President of HUEE, among other 4 persons, as the Vice Chairperson of the Alliance; elected JI Guangpeng, Assistant to GM of the Human Resources Center of BEWG & Vice President of BEWG College, as the Secretary-General of the Alliance;. and the meeting determined the list of executive directors and directors. After the meeting, the Alliance held its first chair office meeting.
According to the action plan of the China Eco-Environmental Industry-Education Alliance, in the next 3 years, the "Internet + Education" model will cover the cultivation of environmental talents in 100 universities, and create a multi-dimensional talent value chain of "industry, academia, research, application, and innovation", and promote deepening higher education and other reforms, give full play to the important role of enterprises, cultivate a large number of high-quality innovative talents and technical skillful talents,to provide strong supports for accelerating the construction of an industrial system for the coordinated development of the real economy, technological innovation, modern finance, and human resources, and enhancing the core competitiveness of the industry, and gathering development momentum.
