Kyrgyzstan and BEWG Signs a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation 2019-06-15
From June 12 to 14, Chinese President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Kyrgyzstan and attended the 19th meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Invited by the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in China and the Investment Promotion and Protection Agency of the Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan, Li Haifeng, Executive Director and Vice President of BEWG, Dong Huanzhang, Executive Director and Financial Director of BEWG, Luo Xuegeng, General Manager of Overseas Business Department of BEWG, et.al. went to Kyrgyzstan to participate in the Kyrgyzstan-China Business Forum on June 12.
On June 13, under the witness of Bolonov Kubatbek Erkievich, Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan and Li Yue, Counselor of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, Adilbek Ulu Shumkarbek, Director of the Kyrgyzstan Investment Promotion and Protection Agency, and Li Haifeng, Executive Director and Vice President of BEWG signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation on behalf of the two parties. The signing of the memorandum played a guiding role in promoting the long-term cooperation in the water business between China and Kyrgyzstan, and also laid a useful foundation for BEWG to serve the environmental protection industry in Kyrgyzstan.

Since Li Yongcheng, Vice Chairman, Executive Deputy General Manager of Beijing Enterprises Group Company Limited and Chairman of the Board of Directors of BEWG, led a team to visit Kyrgyzstan in November 2018, the team of the Overseas Business Department of BEWG has been actively participating in the bidding of local environmental protection projects, and kept close contact with the Kyrgyzstan Water Resources Agency, and the Investment Promotion and Protection Agency through active communication and assistance of Ayibek, an employee of Beijing Enterprises Group Company Limited in Kyrgyzstan.
In February this year, Chingiz Aidarbekov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, who made his first official visit to China, visited the Beijing headquarters of BEWG, and met with Tian Zhenqing, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Beijing Enterprises Group Company Limited, Li Yongcheng, Vice Chairman, Executive Deputy General Manager of Beijing Enterprises Group Company Limited and Chairman of the Board of Directors of BEWG, and Zhou Min, Executive Director and President of BEWG.
At the meeting, BEWG stated that China and Kyrgyzstan are friendly neighbors and comprehensive strategic partners, and BEWG is expected to give full play to its advantages in the national development and urban construction of Kyrgyzstan, and contribute to the development of the “Belt and Road” and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
At present, the overseas business of BEWG has covered more than 30 cities in 7 countries and regions in Malaysia, Portugal, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Botswana, and Angola. BEWG will take the signing of the memorandum of understanding with Kyrgyzstan as an opportunity to continuously improve core competitiveness, and lay a solid foundation for cooperation by relying on high-quality services, gathering high-quality resources, and building quality benchmarks to draw a new blueprint for China and Kyrgyzstan to jointly build the “Belt and Road”, and contribute to the Chinese wisdom and strength of BEWG.
