BEWG 2019 interim investment strategy workshop 2019-08-15
On 12 Aug 2019, BEWG 2019 interim investment strategy workshop was held in Beijing. The workshop focused on the core topic: light asset transition, made an overall analysis on the Group’s Jan-Jun investment incremental completion and external market conditions, proposed new investment channels for furthering the Group strategies under new market situation, point to the direction or clarify the path for the Company’s investment expansion in the second half of the year.
Mr. LI Yongcheng, Vice Chairman of BEG, Executive Deputy GM of BEG,, Chairman of BEWG; BEWG executives, Group HQ departmental directors, region directors, investment line related persons were present at the meeting. Ms. MA Yuntong, GM of the Group’s Market Investment Center, chaired the meeting.
At the meeting, the Market Investment Center introduced the business completion, external market analysis, M&A model among other topics, while regional investment directors and the Group’s functional directors spoke on the topics, trying to fully reflect, focus on the recognition and addition to the special topics.
Mr. YU Liguo, Senior Vice President of BEWG pointed out that in current situation with profound changes in external market conditions and customer demands, we’re required to think deeply over whether the existing operational idea is suitable for current market situation, and how to escape the traditional investment model under historical group advantages, develop the system investment combat capabilities that are adapted to the market under new situation.
In order to identify problems, form consensus, break down the purpose of tasks, Mr. YANG Guang, Senior Vice President of BEWG stressed on four aspects of transition: 1) the implementation of light asset model requires the shift of customer demand-oriented philosophy; 2) the risk control shift of project risk and reward equilibrium; 3) the shift of complete solution capabilities by organic integration of technology and operation; and 4) optimization of water environment project operating system
Focusing on corporate break and corporate reform, Mr. LI Li, Executive President of BEWG, pointed out during analysis that: the change of external market conditions may cause challengers to the Group’s scale growth, and it’s required to escape path reliance in order to get rid of growth weakness bottleneck. He focused on current inventory & increment, acquisition & merger, participation in shareholding, emerging business among many other investment modes, pointed out existing problems in the modes, key points to be noted in the future, proposed improvements, and shall be fully concerned about the internal investment and risk control relationship reform, and the problem of organizational assurance
BEWG President Mr. ZHOU Min proposed that our investment mode research should be closely among the light asset strategies, for light asset transition we should deeply understand, revise continuously, and implement the detailed instructions, and continue to replenish or adjust to form new guidance. To provide complete system solutions for customers, our functional department shall effectively, deeply participate in the Group’s light asset transition; take part in the design of overall investment model under the strategy of light asset transition, and realize the full engagement.
Mr. LI Yongcheng, BEWG Chairman, affirmed the substantial outcomes of the Group’s communication with Three Gorges Group in the first half of the year, he pointed out that we should firmly support the Three Gorges Group. He pointed out that we should firmly support the Yangtze River Strategy of Three Gorges Group, continue to play the advantages of BEWG in the Yangtze River Greater Protection, make due contributions to complement with Three Gorges Group and cooperate for win-win.
