Mr. YANG Wensheng, Mayor of Xilin Gol League visits BEWG 2019-09-23
On 23 Sep 2019, Mr. Yang Wensheng, member of the League Committee & Vice Mayor of the Xilin Gol League of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region; and Mr. WU Chaoke, Vice Administrative Mayor, visited BEWG, and discussed with Mr. E Meng, BEG Vice GM, BEGCL Vice President, BEWG Vice Chairman; Mr. ZHOU Min, BEWG President among other persons on the direction and mode of cooperation. Mr. LI Dinggao, Assistant to President of BEWG, GM of East Region; and Ms. AN Yingyu, Deputy GM of North Region, among other persons accompanied the seminar.
Mr. YANG Wensheng and Mr. WU Chaoke introduced Xilin Gol League’s fiscal revenue, resource reserves, economic development planning, etc., especially the status quo and demand for water supply and sewage treatment in the process of economic development in recent years, and affirmed BEWG’s professionalism and advantages in management and control. Mr. YANG pointed out that Xilin Gol League is located in the policy overlay area of the national Northeast China revitalization strategy and the West China development strategy, bestowed with rich natural resources and development prospects. BEWG is welcome to visit Xilin Gol League to conduct inspections and exchanges, and explore cooperation opportunities in urban water supply, sewage treatment, solid waste disposal and other fields, for joint development.
Mr. ZHOU Min introduced the business layout and overseas development of BEWG. Mr. ZHOU pointed out that BEWG, as the flagship company of BEG focusing on water resources recycling and water ecological environmental protection, has in-depth deployment in water affairs and water environment governance in recent years. BEWG has totally 1,047 water plants currently, with a daily treatment capacity of more than 37,000,000 tons. It has industry-leading technology R&D capabilities, rich project construction management experience and rigorous management and control system. At the same time, starting from the effect of environmental governance, BEWG will innovate the concept of system governance, combining the provision of water services and environmental governance with ecological restoration, economic development, cultural mining, etc., deeply enhance the comprehensive ecological value, and help the coordinated development of the local economy and society. BEWG is willing to strengthen communication and exchanges with Xilin Gol League, look for opportunities for cooperation, provide technical and operational services for Xilin Gol League, and contribute to the ecological civilization of Xilin Gol League.
Mr. E Meng briefly analyzed the areas of cooperation between the two parties and the problems to be resolved. It is hoped that both parties will strengthen close communication and further discuss and negotiate on technical feasibility and commercial cooperation models.
Xilin Gol League is one of the 3 leagues of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is an important energy continuum planned and constructed by the state and an important ecological barrier area in the north. Affected by geographical location and climatic conditions, Xilin Gol League’s water resources are extremely limited and unevenly distributed in time and space. Especially in recent years, with the rapid development of industrial economy, a large number of industrial projects have been introduced and settled in Xilin Gol League. The water shortage has become more obvious, and the task of ecological environmental protection has become increasingly difficult. In the future, the two parties will actively seek breakthrough points for cooperation and make useful explorations to promote the improvement of the local ecological environment.
