Recently, the list of winners of the China ESG Golden Awards 2019 sponsored by Sina Finance have been published. After a comprehensive assessment, BEWG won the Best Environmental (E) Responsibility Award of "China ESG Golden Awards 2019". This is an affirmation of the Group's outstanding performance in environmental protection by a third-party authoritative organization.
Golden means "Responsibility is as precious and heavy as gold". The "Golden Awards" pay tribute to companies and asset management institutions that perform well in ESG, and hopes to spread ESG's example to the public through this awarding platform.
It is understood that this selection has set up 10 awards, including the Best Environmental (E) Responsibility Award, the Best Social (S) Responsibility Award, and the Best Corporate Governance (G) Responsibility Award, aiming to reward excellent enterprises practising ESG in China. Contributing companies or institutions. The list of award candidates is based on the comprehensive evaluation of public information, news and public opinion, and authoritative databases. Leading companies such as China Mobile, China Shenhua, ICBC, and CRRC also won awards.

As a state-owned enterprise, BEWG utilizes its core advantages and resources to actively fulfill its social responsibilities and promote the harmonious development of society through charitable donations and industrial poverty alleviation. In 2018, we invested and constructed 6 environmental protection projects in poverty-stricken areas and counties in Shaanxi, Tibet, Yunnan and other places, covering water supply, sewage, garbage removal, ecological restoration and other aspects, serving more than 417,000 people; targeted Zushan Town, Qinglong County, Qinhuangdao City for precision poverty relief. We will take advantages of water business to solve the problem of water difficulties in the old city of Guigang and for the five-guarantee households. In addition, BEWG actively participate in various social welfare activities, and has organized many charitable donations to the China Children’s Charity Relief Foundation to fulfill the social responsibilities of state-owned enterprises with practical actions.
