On March 25, BEWG Group (0371.HK) officially released its 2025 annual performance report. The report shows that in 2025, BEWG adhered to the development tone of "steady and deep-flowing, forging ahead with innovation", with core financial indicators steadily improving, free cash flow achieving leapfrog growth, AI strategy fully launched, and technological innovation yielding fruitful results, taking solid steps in high-quality development.
Steady Financial Performance and Record-High Cash Flow Improvement
In 2025, BEWG's main business revenue was approximately RMB 22.06 billion, with net profit attributable to shareholders of approximately RMB 1.56 billion, and the operating foundation remained stable. Particularly impressive was the breakthrough improvement in the company's cash flow: net free cash flow inflow reached RMB 5.23 billion, a year-on-year increase of RMB 3.73 billion; net operating cash flow inflow was RMB 5.74 billion, a year-on-year increase of RMB 3.65 billion, with the cash flow improvement reaching a record high. In terms of shareholder returns, the company's dividend per share was 16.60 HK cents, a year-on-year increase of 3.1%, continuously creating stable value for investors. As of the end of 2025, BEWG's total assets were approximately RMB 165 billion, with the asset-liability ratio declining to 66.0%, and the financial structure continuing to optimize, laying a solid foundation for high-quality development.
BEWG focused on its core water treatment services business, with main business revenue proportion increasing to 56%, making the core business positioning clearer. The company operates municipal water services with a scale of approximately 34.09 million tons/day, owning 1,313 water plants and township wastewater treatment facilities, with prominent scale advantages.
The First Year of AI Strategy: Digital Empowerment Drives Operational Quality Leap
2025 was established as the "first year" of BEWG's comprehensive AI strategy launch, with the company officially transitioning from "value verification" to the new stage of "capability building". In terms of "AI + Business", BEWG built a "terminal-cloud collaboration" control model, achieving intelligent control closed loops, developed the Enki vertical process large model for the water sector, and included it in the Beijing Enterprises Group major technology project list. Throughout the year, 30 water plants completed terminal-cloud collaborative process intelligent control pilots, 347 wastewater plants completed SaaS-based intelligent switching, and 20 water supply plants were connected to the cloud computing platform. The AI + Smart Water Plant project was successfully selected as an outstanding case at the Global Digital Economy Conference.
In terms of "AI + Organization", the company established a "data + knowledge + intelligent agent" framework, with the knowledge Q&A system averaging over 3,000 daily interactions and a response accuracy rate of 93%. AI was successfully embedded in business processes such as work order acceptance and campus recruitment interviews. Through intensive transformation, BEWG's operational efficiency improved significantly. Currently, 27 regions have completed efficiency density leap verification, with per capita operational scale reaching 3,000 cubic meters/day/person, a 19% increase post-transformation. The core equipment program control rate rose to 90%, water plant night shift duty rate reached 51%, and per capita compensation in regions where the work order model was implemented increased by 9%. The Group's comprehensive gross profit margin increased by 1 percentage point year-on-year, with operational quality continuing to improve.
Technology Innovation Drives Globalization: Exploring New Logic for Environmental Enterprises Going Overseas
In terms of technology industrialization, BEWG achieved a key transition. The core product "BEWG Quick-Settling Particle" received "internationally leading" industry certification from the China Environmental Protection Industry Association, the China Urban Science Research Society, and multiple academicians. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the company cultivated 18 high-tech enterprises and 1 national-level specialized and sophisticated "Little Giant" enterprise. Using "Beishui Shixi" as the carrier for technology achievement transformation, it completed the qualitative change from "process packages" to "standardized equipment", overcoming the challenge of large-scale application in industrial wastewater treatment.
Global layout achieved multiple breakthroughs. BEWG successfully won the bid for the Hong Kong Hung Shui Kiu project, gaining operational service recognition in mature markets, while also breaking through emerging markets such as Namibia, Angola, and Kazakhstan. "BEWG Quick-Settling Particle" entered the Serbian and Algerian markets, achieving the first large-scale overseas export of integrated environmental protection equipment and core technology, with the overseas map extending from Asia-Pacific to Africa, from Central Asia to the Balkans.
In terms of sustainable development, BEWG benchmarked against the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and spent two years building the new "W.I.S.E." sustainable development action framework, establishing four directions — Water, Intelligence, Satisfaction, and Ecology — along with nineteen key actions. In April 2026, the Group will release the "2025 Sustainable Development Report", systematically disclosing core ESG performance and specific achievements.
BEWG has topped the Top 10 Most Influential Water Enterprises for 15 consecutive years, been included in the S&P Global "Sustainability Yearbook (China Edition)" for 3 consecutive years, the Top 500 Chinese Brand Values for 4 consecutive years, the Top 50 Chinese Environmental Enterprises by Revenue for 7 consecutive years, and was awarded the Outstanding Contribution Unit for the 40th Anniversary of the China Water Association, with its industry-leading position continuously consolidated.
Marching Toward the 15th Five-Year Plan: Advancing Toward a World-Class Vision at Full Speed
2026 is the starting year of the new journey toward the 15th Five-Year Plan. BEWG stated that it will maintain strategic confidence, with "Customer as Source, Survival as Foundation, Innovation as Path", forging the foundation of development, and advancing at full speed toward the vision of "becoming a deeply trusted and development-leading world-class water and environmental service provider".
BEWG's 2025 performance demonstrates the typical path of a water industry leading enterprise in high-quality development transformation: consolidating the development foundation through cash flow optimization, improving operational efficiency through digitalization and intelligence, cultivating new quality productive forces through technological innovation, and expanding development space through global layout, providing useful reference for industry transformation and upgrading.
