BEWG results in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei concerted development 2018-11-10
The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei concerted development strategy is advancing in full swing, and it is hailed as a "super project" that can successfully bring China into the future. After more than 4 years of explosive development, the people in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei may feel more profoundly the interconnection of transportation, tourism, and medical care, and the determination and action to jointly control air pollution, but they have not really realized the huge power behind this super project.
This burst of power may start slowly from a seemingly ordinary signing.
On the morning of 9 Nov 2018, BEWG, Tianjin Water Group and Tianjin Huabo Waterworks Co., Ltd. signed the Tianjin Huabo Waterworks Capital Increase Agreement in respect of the Tianjin Huabo Waterworks Capital Increase 49% Project" in Tianjin. CHEN Zhenfei, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Tianjin Water Group; HAN Peijun, Deputy Secretary and GM of the Party Committee; and ZHOU Min, Executive Director and President of BEWG, witnessed the signing.

For a long time, BEWG has been looking for breakthroughs and footholds in the "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Concerted Development" strategy. This cooperation can be deemed another result of BEWG.
This capital increase agreement is a vivid case of the mixed reform of state-owned enterprises. It has helped BEWG successfully enter the Tianjin market, closely linking the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei water market, and will actively promote the continuous expansion of the ecology of the three places.
In the future, BEWG will take existing scale advantages, regional advantages, technological advantages, and capital advantages to fight an ecological defense war with Tianjin-Hebei enterprises and local people, and make greater contributions to the green waters and mountains of the three places.
CHEN Zhenfei, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Tianjin Water Group, stated that Tianjin Water Group, based on the principles of fairness, openness and marketization, and in accordance with strict procedures, finally selected and developed hand in hand with BEWG, believing that such cooperation with alike excellent enterprises will help both parties realize resource sharing and complementary advantages, promote the development of Tianjin Water Group's business, and provide a good environmental foundation for Tianjin's economic development. Tianjin Water Group will fully support the development and business promotion of BEWG in Tianjin, hoping that through this "real mixed reform", it will introduce BEWG’s advanced experience, concepts, technologies, talents and management mechanisms to stimulate the internal vitality, and give full play to the corporate power, so as to promote the further development of Huabo Waterworks. At the same time, Chairman CHEN also expressed the hope that the two parties should cooperate in broader and deeper fields in the future.
ZHOU Min, Executive Director and President of BEWG, introduced the development history and business status of BEWG. At the same time, he pointed out that Tianjin's adherence to the development idea of an ecologically livable city and the philosophy of BEWG to build a comprehensive urban service operator are very important, which has laid a good foundation for the cooperation between the two parties. ZHOU Min hopes that with this cooperation, the two parties can achieve great development. BEWG will give full play to our role as a leading enterprise in the industry, integrate operating resources and high-quality elements, fully promote the development of Huabo Waterworks, and create a unified sewage operation platform through strategic synergy of sewage and recycled water business, village/town water affairs business, contribute to the economic and social construction of Tianjin and the concerted development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, and actively implement the business philosophy of “government reassurance, public satisfaction, corporate profitability, workers’ benefits, and partners’ win-win”.

Tianjin Huabo Waterworks Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tianjin Water Group. It is a sewage treatment section of Tianjin Water Group, mainly engaged in sewage treatment, recycled water production, sales and environmental pollution control facility operation, water treatment technical consulting services, foreign investment, among other business. So far, its total design capacity is 813,000 tons/day.
So far, BEWG has 59 water projects in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, with a daily processing capacity of 4,073,400 tons, including 15 water environment projects.
