On 9 Nov 2019, “BEWG Cup”-- the 2nd China “Internet +” Eco-Environmental Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition was closed on the campus of South China University of Technology. Mr. FAN Yuansheng, President of China Association of Environmental Protection Industry; Mr. LI Li, Executive Director and Executive President of BEWG; Mr. YU Liguo, Chairman of China Eco-Environmental Industry-Education Alliance; Senior Vice President of BEWG Dean of BEWG College; Mr. XIANG Cong, Director of Academic Affairs Office of South China University of Technology; as well as more than 500 people from the environmental protection, investment, education, participating project teams, expert judges, and invited guests attended the launching ceremony of the championship competition.

In his speech at the launching ceremony, Mr. XIANG Cong pointed out that first-class universities cultivate first-class talents, and first-class talents must have innovative thinking and creative ability. On the afternoon of 9 Nov 2019, the second “Internet +” Competition took strict online initial match and semi-final match, after that 26 teams took part in the national final match. After selections, 10 projects were finally shortlisted for the championship.

After fierce competition, the "Pilot to Subvert Traditional Green Sewage Treatment Technology" project team of Harbin Institute of Technology won the gold prize with the RMB100,000 entrepreneurship bonus; the "CSU Kejie-Heavy Metal Pollution Biological Treatment Innovation" project team of Central South University and the "High-concentration Ultra-micro Bubble Generating Device R&D and Application" project team of Ningbo Zhuhong Nano Technology Co., Ltd. won the silver prize with the RMB 50,000 entrepreneurial bonus; the “BioGill Biofilter Tower” project team of Beijing Biogill Technology Co., Ltd., the “New Nano Antifouling Material” project team of Harbin Engineering University, and the “Superconducting Technology Sewage Treatment” project team of Hangzhou CAS CLEAN Technology Co., Ltd. won the bronze prize with the RMB 20,000 entrepreneurship bonus.
14 excellent project teams also signed on investment intentions. Ms. HU Fenfen, Deputy GM of the BERWG Strategic Development Center; and Mr. JI Guangpeng, Deputy GM of the BEWG Human Resources Center, signed contracts with various projects they were interested, on behalf of the Group. The two parties will initiate in-depth exchanges, and BEWG will also open up corresponding industry resources and channel resources to the project team to jointly build a water environmental ecosystem.

Project Matchmaking Meeting: Build a bridge between projects and industrial resources
On the morning of 10 Nov 2019, the competition also held a matchmaking meeting for eco-environmental innovation and entrepreneurship projects, aiming to conduct in-depth discussions on investment intentions and project cooperation with potential investment institutions and cooperative enterprises, and support industry resource sharing and win-win cooperation. The project matchmaking meeting was conducted by Mr. LIU Junkai and Mr. MA Hongwei, the Project Mentors and Investment Matchmakers of BEWG Strategic Development Center. Mr. WANG Haixiao, Matchmaker and Mentor of the Strategic Development Center, and Ms. ZHANG Wenli, Director of the Investment Intelligence Circle, gave solutions and tutoring to the problems found in the project growth and development, while the investment and tutoring incubation are carried out simultaneously. At the same time, the online project docking activities organized by the Investment Intelligence Circle platform integrate the Internet characteristics in the entire process, support project incubation, tutoring, competition, and investment, and provide one-stop innovation and entrepreneurship services.
