Safety is the essence: BEWG 1st “Ankang Cup” competition held in Qingdao 2019-11-15
On 13 Nov 2019, the BEWG 1st “Ankang Cup” competition was held in Jiaonan Water Plant, Qingdao, a subsidiary of BEWG East Region, jointly hosted by the BEWG Quality Safety Center and the Trade Union, and undertaken by the East Region. The purpose of this competition is to deploy the works according to the BEWG Safety Production Committee, further enhance safety production awareness and safety skills, increase workers’ safety awareness and emergency response capabilities.
PENG Guosheng, Deputy Manager of the Safety and Environmental Supervision Department of BEWG; YU Jie, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Trade Union of BEG; SHA Ning, Vice President of BEWG; and JIN Feng, Vice President of BEWG and Secretary of the Party Committee of BEWG; as well as more than 120 employees from BEG, BEGCL, BEWG Safety Production Management Department, Trade Union and players participated in the launching ceremony of the competition, which was chaired by LU Qi, Director of BEWG.
In his speech, JIN Feng emphasized the importance of safe production to the development of the enterprise. He pointed out that the "Ankang Cup" competition is a major innovation in China's trade union work in the new era, it is a stage for enterprises to set an example and brand, as well as a platform for cultivating, discovering and selecting safety management talents. It is hoped that through the competition, talents can "compete on the same stage, learn from each other, and improve together", and their safety awareness, safety skills and emergency response capabilities can be continuously improved.
YU Jie announced the opening of the competition and delivered a speech. He expressed his warm congratulations on the launch of BEWG 1st "Ankang Cup" competition, and encouraged the players to show their style and capacity in the competition.
YU Liangfa granted the flags to the five major regional teams. LI Chunting from the East Region, and ZHOU Xiushan from the Central Region took the oath respectively on behalf of the players and referees.
The competition set up 3 matches: "Limited Space Operation and Emergency Rescue", "Fire Drill and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation" and "Safety Knowledge Contest". 45 players from the five regions competed on the same stage and showed their talents.
After fierce competition, ZHENG Jixiang, SONG Liancheng, CHEN Xiangzheng, and XIN Tailong from the East Region won the first prize in the limited space operation and emergency rescue project competition, and ZHAO Zhengdong, GU Yun, TANG Yong, and WU Bo from the West Region won the second prize, while LI Haiqing, ZOU Fucai, JIA Shaobo and XU Shu from the North Region won the third prize.
In the fire drill and cardiopulmonary resuscitation and rescue project competition, YIN Tao and YANG Zhili from the East Region won the first prize, HUANG Peilei and WAN Hualin from the South Region won the second prize, and YIN Huazhao and LIU Renqi from the Central Region won the third prize.
In the safety knowledge competition, LI Chunting, SHENG Zhong, and XU Yourong from the East Region won the first prize, XIA Hong, HE Jianming, and LIANG Hong from the Central Region won the second prize, while LI Xiaolei, HOU Zhichao, and SUN Lifu from the North Region won the third prize.
After the comprehensive selection from the 3 matches, the East Region won the first place in overall performance and won the Group Excellence Award; the East Region won the Outstanding Organization Award.
PENG Guosheng, Deputy Manager of the Safety and Environmental Supervision Department of BEG, said in his speech that under the strong atmosphere of "safety first", this competition actively demonstrated the workmanship spirit of BEWG employees and the "people-oriented" development concept of BEWG.
SHA Ning, Vice President of BEGCL, expressed his warm congratulations to the winners and the teams, and delivered a closing speech. She fully affirmed BEWG’s first "Ankang Cup" competition. She pointed out that this Ankang Cup competition was well-positioned and well prepared, and achieved good results.
This "Ankang Cup" competition is not only the active implementation of President XI Jinping's production safety thoughts, but also a specific measure to implement the safety production work decisions of BEG, BEGCL and BEWG. The competition not only demonstrated the exquisite production safety skills of the first-line employees of BEWG, but also further strengthened the safety production emergency awareness and emergency response capabilities of all employees, and improved the Group's safety production culture construction level.
