BEWG Technical Committee set up Management Technology Sub-Committee 2019-11-19
On 15 Nov 2019, the inaugural meeting of the Construction Management Technology Sub-Committee of the Technical Committee of BEWG was held in Beijing. YANG Xiangping, former Director of China Urban Water Supply and Drainage Association Sub-Committee, former GM of Beijing Drainage Group; LIU Qiduo, external member of BEWG Technical Committee, former Chairman and GM of Beijing Municipal Construction Group; WANG Naizhen, External Member and former Chief Engineer of Structural Discipline of Beijing Municipal Engineering Design Research Institute; GUAN Long, External Member and former Chief Engineer of Beijing Municipal Construction Group; YANG Guang, Senior Vice President of BEWG; WANG Zhupin, Vice President; LI Ai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee of the Group; HANG Shijun, Chief Consultant Engineer, Technical Committee Director; Director LU Qi; Technical Director ZHANG Baolin; internal members of the Sub-Committee; as well as more than 50 directors of Construction Management Center, Technology Center, Operation Management Center, Market Investment Center, Procurement Management Center, Quality and Safety Center and other related departments and the five district construction management departments, attended the meeting. QIN Lin, Chief Engineer of China Railway Fourth Bureau Group Third Engineering Company, and LIU Keliang, Chief Engineer of China Railway Shanghai Municipal Administration Company, were invited to attend this event.
At the inaugural meeting, YANG Guang pointed out that 2019 is the "Year of Quality" for BEWG, and construction quality is an important part of quality improvement. This year, the Construction Management Center attaches great importance to the quality of project construction. Through a series of management measures such as daily inspections and joint acceptance of completions, the construction quality and product quality have been greatly improved. It is hoped that the Construction Management Technology Sub-Committee can closely focus on the strategic planning and business development of BEWG, based on technological improvement and technological progress, to give more suggestions and guidance to BEWG construction projects, and promote the transformation of project thinking to product thinking, and thus provide solid support for the Group to realize the light assets transition.
HANG Shijun emphasized the importance of the Construction Management Technology Sub-Committee. HANG Shijun pointed out that at present, BEWG is in the critical stage of shifting from rapid development to high-quality development, especially the implementation of the light asset strategy. The improvement of construction technology is crucial to the high-quality development of the Group. It is hoped that the Sub-Committee can give full play to its own value, help BEWG actively improve key, supportive and common technologies, establish relevant corporate standards, and even industry standards, and enhance the Group's high-quality development level and core competitiveness.
LU Qi, secretary-general of the Construction Management Technology Sub-Committee, described the preparation process of the Sub-Committee and announced the list of members.
YANG Xiangping, Director of the Sub-Committee, announced the operating procedures and annual work plan. External members WANG Naizhen and GUAN Long respectively gave keynote speeches entitled "Structural Design Status and Problems" and "Hydraulic Equipment Field Installation Technology and Quality Control".
JIA Xiuming, Manager of the Technical Quality Department of the Construction Management Center; LIU Wei, Chief Engineer of the Public Engineering Department of the Technical Center; ZHANG Wei, Deputy GM of the East Region Construction Management Department, introduced the construction situation of the entity and the demand for the Sub-Committee.
QIN Lin, Chief Engineer of China Railway Fourth Bureau Group Third Engineering Company, was invited to share the valuable experience of the company in leading quality improvement in terms of system innovation, construction method innovation and management innovation, and proposed improvement suggestions for the design plan selection and decision-making of BEWG.
LI Ai made a concluding speech, and once again emphasized the purpose of establishing the construction technology professional committee and the important role of knowledge and technology in enhancing the core competitiveness of BEWG. It’s hoped that everyone will use the Sub-Committee as a platform and channel to discuss technologies, effectively improve the overall technical level of BEWG, and promote high-quality project delivery.
Finally, YANG Guang, HANG Shijun, and YANG Xiangping issued letters of appointment to the three external members.
This meeting laid a solid foundation for the implementation of the Group's asset-light strategy, and also pointed out the direction for the construction and management technical work of BEWG. The Sub-Committee will take this inauguration meeting as a starting point to continuously improve its ability to provide high-quality solutions for innovation, enable construction to serve for operation and brand, so as to provide solid support for the Group's asset-light transition.
