This reform marks a change in the functions of environmental authorities, for unified supervision of land and sea, to fully implement the most stringent ecological and environmental system.
The marine eco-environmental protection is in a critical period of integration, restructuring and reconstruction. The marine waste treatment industry will have a large development space and market scale. BEWG will accumulate its energy in advance and deploy in the cleaning of sea areas, relying on the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay environmental protection policy and environmental cooperation mechanism, to comprehensively promote mutually beneficial cooperation between the nine urban agglomerations in Guangdong Province, Hong Kong and Macau in the field of sea area cleaning, and help build a beautiful sea featured by "clean water, green shore, clean beach, beautiful bay, material abundance, and harmonious people”.
Up to now, BEWG’s main business focuses on water affairs and water environment, and it has developed steadily in the fields of solid waste, environmental sanitation, industrial water treatment, seawater desalination, and clean energy. This entry into the sea area cleaning business will further improve the entire industrial chain of environmental services of BEWG, extend from land to sea, and promote the ecological civilization in all directions, all regions and all processes.
