New identity! BEWG selected as one of the first batch of pilot enterprises for the integration of industry and education in Beijing 2021-05-26
On May 26, in accordance with the requirements of the National Development and Reform Commission's “Measures for the Implementation of Construction of Industry-Education-Integrated Enterprises (Trial)", after voluntary declaration by the enterprises, preliminary review by each district, evaluation by experts, review and confirmation by relevant municipal departments, and publicity to the whole society, Beijing Enterprises Water Group (BEWC) was selected as the first batch of pilot enterprises for integration of industry and education in Beijing, becoming the only approved unit in the environmental protection industry, and included in the information reserve database of the integration of industry and education in Beijing.
In April 2020, to deeply study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the National Education Conference, deepen the integration of industry and education, school-enterprise cooperation, and give full play to the important role of enterprises in the training of technical and skilled personnel and the development of human resources, BEWG took the lead in setting up a special working group to coordinate and organize a total of 7 companies in the headquarters and the regions, start the application for industry-education-integrated enterprises, and implement local policies.
Through the exploration and practice in school-enterprise cooperation and industry-education integration in the past three years, the industry-education integration activities that have been carried out include the establishment of a resource-sharing platform for industry-education integration, a series of school-enterprise cooperation activities, and the holding of modern apprenticeships and new enterprise apprenticeships, order classes, 1+X certificate, teaching reform and curriculum development, as well as enterprise on-the-job training, etc.
As a platform for the integration of industry and education in the environmental protection industry, the educational section of BEWG has taken the lead in hosting 3 industry-education integration summit forums, 3 "Internet +" innovation and entrepreneurship competitions, 2 special recruitment fairs for college students in the environmental protection industry, 2 college vocational skills contests, 2 college teacher training seminars, 1 environmental industry human resources forum, and 15 enterprise experts’ campus activities; school-enterprise cooperation signed 106 environmental protection colleges and universities, established 5 industrial colleges, has established the first intelligent water management major in China together with Shandong Water Conservancy Vocational College, and set up four professional education and teaching steering committees in the fields of intelligent water, intelligent sanitation, comprehensive treatment and disposal of solid waste, and ecological environment innovation and entrepreneurship, and carried out a series of influential activities such as a series of books on the integration of industry and education in China's ecological environment, give full play to the important role of enterprises in higher education, create a three-dimensional talent value chain of "production, learning, research, application and innovation", and enhance the core competitiveness of the industry.
Up to now, 4 companies under BEWG have successfully been approved to be integrated enterprises of industry and education. According to the national identification standards and evaluation methods for industry-education-integrated enterprises, enterprises that are included in the construction of an information reserve database for industry-education-integrated enterprises will be given the combined incentive of "finance + public finance + land + credit", and the relevant tax policies will be implemented in accordance with the regulations.
This selection not only recognizes BEWG’s long-term work in school-enterprise cooperation and integration of industry and education, but also actively promotes the vertical development of BEWG’s integration of industry and education, and fully supports the matching and management of trillions of operational talents in social water service and has helped the Group's asset-light strategy transformation.
This year's government work report proposed that it will enhance the adaptability of vocational education, deepen the integration of industry and education, school-enterprise cooperation, and in-depth implementation of the vocational skill certificate system. In the critical period of the "14th Five-Year Plan", BEWG will actively optimize the supply of innovative elements such as talents, technology, and management in promoting school-enterprise collaboration, and build shared training bases, majors, and industrial colleges, strengthen the integration of industry and education in collaborative education, strengthen the weak links of education personnel and industrial innovation, and create a new engine for promoting high-quality development of the industry.
