Floods are ruthless, people are affectionate, and emergency water supply after Fangshan disaster is retrograde 2023-12-15

August 14-Establishment of a water supply program and formation of a rescue team
Combined with the disaster situation in Fangshan District, Beijing Control Group and BEWG responded quickly by organizing an emergency support team to investigate the site and determining the water supply emergency protection work plan with the government of Fangshan District, and at the same time of fully protecting the safety of emergency water supply in the towns of Shidu, Puhua and Zhangfang in Fangshan District, they carried out the construction of emergency pipelines in the key disaster areas, installing and debugging the supporting equipment in the wells that have the conditions for implementation and implementing pipe entry in more than 3,000 households of key protection groups in 11 affected villages to realize the rapid restoration of water supply and meet the water demand of the affected residents.
In order to fully implement the water supply protection program, in the face of the shortage of professionals in the disaster area, BEWG coordinated personnel and materials and equipment at the first time, from under the jurisdiction of the project companies in Luoyang, Nanyang, Sanhe, Xuzhou, more than 30 professionals in water supply design, engineering, pipeline network, equipment, and other 48 construction personnel, composed of a team of helpers, and rushed to Beijing to support the work of Fangshan District, disaster relief and emergency reconstruction work overnight.
August 15-Laying of water supply lines Installation of emergency equipment
After arriving at the disaster area, the rescue team was quickly divided into 7 sub-units and 13 groups according to the disaster relief tasks, and went deep into Liuhe Village, Wolong Village and Pingyu Village to lay emergency water supply pipelines and emergency equipment installation and debugging, and at the same time carried out the dynamic guarantee of temporary emergency water supply. In Pingyu Village construction site, villagers who achieved to the temporary water supply point thanked BEWG a lot: "Everyone is too difficult, now finally we can use the water."
August 17-Restoring emergency water supply and accelerating post-disaster reconstruction
As of the early morning of August 17th, Liuhe village, Wolong village emergency pipeline laying was completed 90%, Pingyu village emergency pipeline laying was completed 80%, Qidu new Gushanzhai team, the West River village emergency pipeline laying was completed 100%, Shidu village emergency pipeline protection was completed 95%. At the same time, the conditions of the well supporting equipment arrangements: the installation of water pumps, control cabinets, disinfection facilities to the village of 1 unit, were all carried out simultaneously with the restoration of the emergency water supply.
One minute earlier water supply, the villagers' confidence in recovery and reconstruction will be one point stronger. According to BEWG Fangshan District support team site director Li Zhitao’s introduction, after further inspection of the disaster area site, BEWG integrated manpower and resources, sent 90 staff, 15 vehicles, completed the emergency pipeline paving, and timely follow-up equipment into the plant installation, carried out 11 villages temporary pipeline into the household operations, to protect the Shi Du Town, Puwa Town, Zhangfang Town and other villages’ emergency water supply.
Flood has no mercy, BEWG will continue to strengthen the coordination, give full play to its professional advantages to win the battle of reconstruction, and contribute to the restoration of normal production and living order in Beijing as soon as possible.
