BEWG Hosts the 7th "Ankang Cup" Competition 2025-11-07

The 7th "Ankang Cup" Competition of Beijing Enterprises Water Group (BEWG) was successfully held in Changsha, Hunan Province from November 5 to 6. Sponsored by BEWG's Safety Supervision Center and Trade Union, undertaken by the Southern Region, and co-organized by Changsha Regional Company, the event attracted five teams from various regions and business departments of the group.

Tian Mingge, Director of the Urban Construction Department of Hunan Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, affirmed BEWG's high attention to work safety. He emphasized that as a leading enterprise in the industry, BEWG should: first, set an example in serving the overall development of the "15th Five-Year Plan," focus on industry difficulties, and explore replicable "BEWG solutions"; second, take the lead in promoting intelligent transformation and building innovative cities by strengthening technological research and model innovation; third, play an exemplary role in consolidating the bottom line of urban resilience and continuously enhancing risk control in high-risk links. He encouraged BEWG to bravely shoulder its mission, strive to be an industry benchmark in technological innovation, safe development, and green development, and contribute more to the high-quality development of cities.

Peng Guosheng, Deputy General Manager of the Safety Management Department of Beijing Enterprises Holdings Limited, congratulated the successful holding of the competition and affirmed its achievements. He stated that the competition demonstrated the participants' solid safety literacy and highlighted BEWG's management capabilities in safety work, which are worthy of learning and emulation by sister units. He required all colleagues to apply the knowledge, concepts, and methods learned in the competition to their jobs, and resolutely safeguard the sound working environment and the happiness of employees' families with a sense of responsibility that "keeps one on edge at all times."

Yu Jie, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Trade Union of Beijing Enterprises Holdings Limited, pointed out that the "Ankang Cup" is an important platform integrating safety and health attributes, promoting safety through competition. BEWG needs to consolidate the main responsibility for work safety and accelerate the construction of a safety management mechanism suitable for modern enterprise governance; trade unions at all levels should promote the in-depth integration of the competition with employees' career development, create a good atmosphere of respecting skills and advocating professionalism, and provide solid talent support for enterprise development. He called on all employees to comprehensively improve their risk prevention and emergency response capabilities and jointly build a solid safety defense line.

Wang Zhupin, Rotating Executive President of BEWG, emphasized that a team of employees with strong safety awareness and excellent safety skills is the guarantee for BEWG to improve quality and efficiency and continuously provide stable and high-quality services to customers. The 7th "Ankang Cup" Competition is not only a centralized inspection of the safety skills of all employees but also an important measure to promote the in-depth development of safety culture. It is necessary to effectively give play to the demonstration effect of "promoting learning through competition, promoting practice through competition, and promoting application through competition," so that the consensus of "safety is as heavy as Mount Tai, and peace writes a new chapter" can take root.

Closely combined with the actual work safety of the water industry, this year's "Ankang Cup" Competition scientifically set up four competition modules, and the multi-dimensional competition system comprehensively tempered the hard power of work safety.

Safety responsibility is heavier than Mount Tai, and the road to safety has a long way to go. Taking this competition as a new starting point, BEWG will transform the competitive spirit on the field into practical responsibility in posts, deepen the investigation and rectification of hidden dangers, improve emergency response capabilities, and jointly build a solid safety foundation for the group's high-quality development.
